What Is The Primitive Methodist Investment Foundation?
The Primitive Methodist Investment Foundation, Inc. ("PMIF") was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in December 1969. Its charitable purpose is to promote and support the religious, missionary and charitable activities of the Primitive Methodist Church of the United States of America (the "PM Church") by establishing an investment fund thereby making working capital available for such religious, missionary and charitable purposes by gift, donation, loan or otherwise, as its directors may deem advisable.
The PMIF has the authority to solicit the investment of funds from persons, agencies, corporations and institutions affiliated with the PM Church and to receive, hold, invest, loan and administer such funds.
The PMIF stimulates the growth and development of the PM Church by providing financing to new and existing ministries. Since inception, the PMIF's assets have grown from fifty thousand($50,000) to almost seven million dollars($7,000,000). The majority of these assets are owned by PMIF investors who allow the PMIF to use their investments in the furtherance of God's work.
HOW CAN YOU HELP THE PMIF ACHIEVE ITS PURPOSE?
Investment With the PMIF:--------------------
Hybrid Savings Accounts - The PMIF pays its investors competitive savings account rates for any size investment for any period of time. Funds invested are available to the investor upon demand. Simple interest is calculated daily and is compounded semi-annually. Currently, the PMIF pays three percent (3.0%) interest on Savings Accounts.
Make a Contribution to the PMIF:--------------------
Gifts - The PMIF is designated as a non-profit religious organization under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, outright gifts to the PMIF of cash, equities, real estate or tangible personal property are deductible for federal income tax purposes in the year the gift is given. Your gift to the PMIF is immediately used for God's work according to your (the donor's) instructions.
Planned Giving - Planned giving allows the donor to leave a living legacy to the PMIF and its furtherance of God's work.
Bequest by Will - You can plan to give a gift to the PMIF by including the PMIF in your last will and testament. It is a simple matter to add a bequest to the PMIF in your will. Inclusion of a bequest to the PMIF will stand as a living testimony of your dedication to further God's work on earth by providing additional funds to strengthen the PM Church.
Life Insurance - A life insurance policy can be established or changed to include the PMIF as either a full or co-beneficiary. Upon your home-going, funds will be made available to the PMIF to continue its mission of building the PM Church for His glory.
